New factory Federal #7 shells loaded with a Lee 7/8oz slug and roll crimped on a drill press to a consistent overall length of 1 7/8". These chrono 1255 - 1300 fps from a 20" cylinder bore barrel. Much less recoil than the 1oz factory slugs with more muzzle energy than a hot 44 magnum +P. These also increase magazine tube capacity in my Mossberg from 7 to 9 rounds and from 6 to 8 rounds in my Remington tactical. Due to the reduced power and shorter shell length these may not cycle in some other brands of shotguns, but I have used these without issue in the Mossberg 500, Maverick 88, and Remington 870.
